It always amazes me when businesses go to great lengths to set up a website of which most is dedicated to themselves. Imagine a prospect searching for your products or services, lands on your site and has to wade through pages of stories about you. What your staff get up to in their free time, what event you sponsored this year, what conferences you attended not to mention the “corporate speak” that impresses no one. Your prospects are looking for the little differences that matter to them amongst the elaborate lists of products and services you provide yet there’s not a benefit in sight. Nothing that rings out – hey – choose us because…………………….. Oh dear, they’ve just clicked away. Never mind, someone else will be along shortly. |
